Maleficent Tokyo Premiere

23 June 2014; Elle attended the Tokyo premiere of her latest film Maleficent this past Monday and posed alongside co-star Angelina Jolie in this stunning floor-length Alexander McQueen gown fit for a princess. Elle usually doesn't wear makeup to events, but for the Virtuoso Awards, she experimented with some fun colours! If you want to steal this fresh look, follow the easy steps below using the suggested or similar products!

1. Begin with your typical foundation routine to give yourself a young, super clear complexion. 
2. Prime your eyes using an eyelid primer (like Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion) so that the colour stays vibrant throughout the night.
3. For fuller looking lashes, use a black pencil eyeliner (like Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner) to your top water line (example how-to here).
4. Starting in the centre of your lids, lightly dust a turquoise shadow (like Maybelline Expert Wear Eyeshadow in Turquoise Glass) on your lids up until the crease, not excluding the tear duct area. Feather out the colour to leave a natural gradient.
